Cost of Conflict

Update: The Dawn reports that Pakistan spent more on its military than on development during the first half of this fiscal year; over 54% for defence and 35% for development. The problem appears to be that the funds allocated for development somehow dont get spent !

  1. If these funds were diverted (in absence of conflict) to human and infrastructural development, this region would be more prosperous then Malaysia (less fundamentalism).
