Pratibha Patil – Questionable Candidate

Update:

An excellent editorial in Business Standard

Little would Pratibha Patil have thought when she was suddenly nominated as the UPA candidate to become the President of India that those who would wear the crown first have to make sure that there are no skeletons rattling around in their cupboards. Two have already tumbled out of hers, and who knows how many more will pop out in the next few days! One expects Heads of State of this country to, at the very least, have wiped their traces clean. Indeed, if the 1990s was permissive, this decade has been positively licentious. The Government of the Clean—with those uplifting symbols of purity, sacrifice and virtue, Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and, of course, the Yudhishtir-like Left—has forgotten the meaning of the simpler requirements of governance, such as moral authority, propriety, dharma and the like. So deaf is its conscience and so mute its inner voice that it wants to foist a person with a rather spotty reputation as President. But it is not too late even now. Perhaps Mrs Patil could and should save her patrons further embarrassment. After all, she too may have an inner voice urging her to renounce such worldly things as being the President of India. Can you make something out of this headline? On the outside it says “Prez poll:NDA to move EC against Congress” but the article is about Natwar..

  2. Anuj 28th June 2007 at 01:06 #

Instead, they could have nominated Laloo Prasad – at least he can entertain and supply dairy products for all official functions.

Or, Rakhi Sawant – at least she calls them like she sees them; not to mention, she would be better than Ms.Patil for the stature of Indian Presidency.

Or, Silvio Berlusconi – he is not doing much these days, except fighting those pesky corruption charges; Sonia could finally have someone she could trust, and knowing silivio’s proclivities, someone she could “play” with; lest one of you uber nationalists pooh pooh, don’t forget that, I -nd- IA is not too far removed from I- tal-IA.

p.s. if we behave ourselves and pray really, really hard to Sonia Mata – maybe, just maybe, she and silvio will finally bestow upon our benighted nation a pure bred gora, who one day, will lead us all from darkness into the light.

    PRATIBHA PATIL – THE PRESIDENT

Shrimati Indira Gandhi was the first Women Prime Minister of India, but she behaved like as if she was the Iron man of India. The victory in 1971 Pakistan war was a historic moment in her life. She had taken our country to a global level. She had also made a huge contribution in Nuclear Power, as a result of which we are also a Nuclear Power in the world.

Shrimati Sonia Gandhi sacrificed the post of Prime Minister and set a huge example of her love towards our country. She also looks and behaves very similar to Indira Gandhi. When I see her on television I think that as if Shrimati Indira Gandhi is standing in front of me. She had made an historic decision by nominating Shrimati Pratibha Patil for the post of President of India. Although our country is Male Dominated she had set her mark by getting nominated for the post of President and this proves that Women in India are now a strong force to deal with.

After Sixty years of Independence a Woman leader is going to become the President of our country which is a beginning of a Revolution. Since she had born in Maharashtra which is the birth place of Shivaji and she got married in Rajasthan which is the birth place of Maharanapratap. Therefore she possesses all the qualities of these leaders and she is taking their pride to Delhi.

Shrimati Pratibha Patil had born on 19th December 1934 in Jalgaon. She is a Taurean and her Nakshatra is Rohini. From Moon to fifth house Mars is situated which shows that she is very intelligent. Since Ketu is situated in her third house she is very daring in taking decisions. This can be seen from the fact that after marriage she refused to keep the surname of her husband and kept her own surname ‘Patil’ which was a very big thing in that time. In today’s world women can inspire from Shrimati Pratibha Patil and make their own identity after marriage also.

Saturn is situated in her tenth house which is providing her success in every walk of life. Coincidentally her Nineth and Tenth house lord is also Saturn. According to Parashar rule it is a very big Rajyog and hence she can definitely become the President of India.

In the coming time it is very necessary for us to wake the Women Power in our country to save our country from Terrorism and other Illegal Activities.
With God’s grace we have to get rid of all the Devil power which is stopping our country to become the most powerful nation of the world. During the Pakistan war Shrimati Indira Gandhi had made an historic moment. Since 1971 war nobody has created an impact like Indiraji as she had done in her time. Prime Minister like Atal Bihari Vajpayee was also not able to cross the border line of Pakistan at the time of Kargil War. As a result of which we had to face a very serious loss. If we would had Indira Gandhi at that time instead of Atal Bihari Vajpayee we would had cross their border and given them a beating of a life time.

Lately, but Sonia Gandhi has awakened the Women Power in India. In the coming future 33% Women reservation bill have to be pass and this will happen in the present Loksabha till 2008. Our country is going through a revolution of Women Power and we will soon be observing an era which is totally Women Dominated. Now the time has come in which Women should be equally respected like Men, because according to my calculation Women are the future of our Country.

Shrimati Sonia Gandhiji you should move forward towards development of our country because the whole nation is with you. Although you come from a Royal family you behave like a common woman. Looking at the stars of Pratibha Patil she is definitely going to become the President of our country Shrimati Sonia gandhiji has done a very good job by nominating her name for the post of President and it will be very beneficial for our country.

    Panditji,

If you can predict such a bright future without taking any dakshina, I wonder how bright a future you can predict for dakshina-giving clients. Thanks for leaving your cell number though, so that we can all benefit from your gyan.

From your earlier post Nitin, “Instead of making this point, The Indian Express has found it expedient to put a gloss of “candidates’ history is no longer beyond public scrutiny” over the issue.” How I wish this was the case when Subramanian Swamy was exposing Ma Sonia.

Did you figure that yourself Panditji?

  8. Nitin 28th June 2007 at 18:12 #

    Sriram,

The ‘Express seems to have come around a bit more strongly today. Although it’s passing the buck to the Left—challenging it to put its vote where its mouth is (was?)

Seriously, parodies of this caliber are rare as hen’s teeth. Your parody of the stupidity of the politicians raises mockery to sublime heights. I bow low in front of such mastery as you display above.

  13. Nitin 28th June 2007 at 22:29 #

    Panditji,

I have some bad news for you. Mrs Pratibha Patil herself has alluded to the fact that astrological calculations have to be updated to account for the fact that there are 12 planets. I’m sure you will agree that she is a Forward Looking Woman to suggest that the Ancient Science needs to take into account New Facts. We look forward to the results of your new calculations.

Panditji, whatever else you say, I agree with you on this part especially “giving them a beating of a life time” :)

Also, whatever the stars and blogs say, you’re right when you say the utterly corrupt Srimati Pratibha will be the next president of our country because Sonia graha is in her first house (as Shivraj and Manmohan have proved repeatedly, Srimati Sonia is the most powerful of all grahas in our shrusti). Rajyogini indeed. Both these Srimatis are such inspiration to Srimatis everywhere.

Chandra: Panditji, whatever else you say, I agree with you on this part especially “giving them a beating of a life time”.

Would be fine if Indira stopped with beating the life out of the Pakistanis. But when she was done with them she didn’t spare Indians either :-)

Congress is not going to back out, whatever people’s opinions might be. But Left can be put in a difficult situation if the issues are projected accordingly. For ex, that her firm swindled 17 crores will not worry the Left, but if it can be shown that it hurt a 100 labourers in the process, then Left will not be silent. Similarly in the case of the cooperative bank, the issue should be projected in terms of how poor women were denied their rightful loans while Pratibha’s kith and kin enjoyed crores of loans. That would probably draw Left’s attention. Basically project her in ways that Left has to disapprove of. A few stories of labourers who were wronged by her sugar factory and their current plight etc would give added benefits.

    Respected Lekhrajgi,

I have always faced disappointment in my life, but since year 2000 my life has been changed drastically and i realized the power of Truth and Lord Shiva. Because in the year 2000 i had gone to Brahmakumari center of Malad for 1 month.

People think that i am Insane, but i am very much confident that sooner or later Lord Shiva is going to born as a Avtaar in our country and according to me that time has come.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sending my message to Shrimati Pratibha Patil. I sincerely want to meet you in person.

    Waiting for your reply.

    Regards,

    Pt. Shyam Sharma

I am rather amused, as to how she was ready for the job as it is a thankless, priceless

job.She won’t be able to rake in lots of mullah from this job. Seems her dead “Bhoot dadaji”

wants her to spread the “*#!kumari” cult between indian children, as thoese are the people

which the “President” caters too.Hmmm..nice candidate

This is a big SPIN!.First woman to be the President of India. Congress had earlier opposed the candidature of Ms. Laxmi Sehgal, who was not involved in any scam like Pratibha’s. Just for a woman, could you vote for Phoolan Devi or Rabri ? Congress does not have the answer. They are defending an unclean compromise candidate for the highest position. And for communists, you never expect any patriotic policy from them.
