They set up the Chopra commission and according to the recommendations they did not grant them the status. They allotted a special package for the gujjars after coming into power. The BJP did more than the share of justice which was deserved by gujjars. What Raje should do is to play clean and make her policies public. Let the people know how irrationally the Gujjars are holding everyone at ransom. The congress should remove Sachin pilot immediately. What is really sad is that the iron lady budged under pressure and sent a letter to the PM making the recommendation. The immediate reason for denying the Gujjar's SC/ST status is that the Meenar community (with the BJP) has the SC/ST status and does not want it's benefits diluted. But I am in total agreement with you that we are going to see lots more of such "backwardness" clashes. The BJP does also follow caste politics.
